Working in Weert
Weert is a place with great opportunities for setting up your business and has an excellent infrastructure, which ensures the city is easy to get to. Weert is right next to the A2 motorway, with connections to Eindhoven, the Randstad, Belgium, and Germany. The Zuid Willemsvaart canal takes you to Antwerp and Rotterdam by boat. Intercity train services run from Weert train station to destinations throughout the country. International airports are close by at Maastricht and Eindhoven.
Living in Weert
Weert has high-grade housing and a variety of great facilities. All told, it’s a friendly, lively city. There’s something for everyone – from shops, markets, and events to nature, culture, and history. If culture, food and shopping are your thing, prepare to indulge yourself. More of an outdoorsy and sporty type? You can walk, cycle, mountain biking, or horse riding for hours. In the Laura woods, at nature reserve Boshoverheide, or in De IJzeren Man recreation area, say. It’s the diversity that makes Weert so special.
